About service:
Guild Care is a not-for-profit charity based in Worthing, dedicated to supporting older people, individuals living with dementia, and children and adults with learning disabilities through a broad range of care, home-support and community services. At the core of Guild Care’s mission is the vision that “all people in need of care should live fulfilling, safe and secure lives.”
Founded in 1933 by a group of local volunteers who believed in building a kinder and more caring society, Guild Care has grown steadily to deliver more than thirty services each year – from residential homes and dementia day centres to home-care support and respite for unpaid carers. The charity’s values – reflected in the acronym “BELIEF” (Brave, Engaging, Loving, Integrity, Everyone Matters, Free to be me) – drive person-centred, respectful support that treats every individual with dignity.
Guild Care understands that high-quality care is about far more than the basics of accommodation and assistance: it is about enabling people to shape their lives, remain connected to their community and flourish whatever their age, ability or circumstance. In doing so, the charity works in partnership with families, volunteers and local networks to ensure that no person’s need is overlooked and that the full dignity of every life is honoured.
